Default Drive Axle Housing Problems

anyone,other than me,have any problems with their drive axle housings having wear? i just had my right axle & housing replaced less than 2 months ago and now i hear the other side doing that 'clunk'.
BTW-anyone have any used ones for sale or wanna 'give' away? maybe i need to upgrade.just wouldn't know where to start looking....

Are you lowered? If so, and it's lowered a lot then you may need the shaft spacers (I think that is what they are called).

nope,not lowered.all stock with 108k miles. maybe i got one of the 'bad ones' lol
just put over 5k into her. drive axle+housing,clutch,engine injector pump,new top,sensors..kinda like,when do you say when? lol

I've never had any problem with mine... Are you buying new parts or used? If you buy used it could be stuff that was beat on then sold. If you are replacing something, get new. Keep at it, it's a great car.

Also, do the work yourself... I just bought a blazer (winter vehicle). It needed an alignment I thought. I took it somewhere to get an alignment and they said I needed the Idler arm changed. They wanted like $350 just to do it. Right after I found that out, I went to autozone. Got the part for $23.00 and changed it out in like 30 mins...

Long story short, you will get raped on labor.

If all that cost $5k, and you did it yourself, then disreguard what I said above this.

all th stuff was done at Four Star Automotive here in Tulsa and yess,ALL was new except for engine air pump.$900 for a plastic fan was NUTZ,so i bought it used...just really disappointed by what's been happening w/my car...but she's a keeper for sure...although i did almost trade her for a 1970 GTO...MONSTER car-in a straight line! lol
can't get away from that craving for carving tho..

well,i might just have to bringing my car over to you guys then.ur name has been mentioned to me a 'few' times before! lol
and i hear a clunking in my other drive axle now.damn!!
hey,can i set this on fire & make a ins. claim? lol
btw-what WOULD a turbo setup cost me for this car? bought,installed,tuned....

Just let me know if you wanna bring it by we will help you out the best way possiable.

A Simple kit will run around 8,500 - 9,000.
Now that Includes :

-The Bolt on Turbo Kit
-Ems
-Injectors
-New after market Springs and Retainers
-New Clutch
-Fresh Fluids
-Install of all Items
-Tuned
