Float Trip - POSTPONED
Last weekend, I had an opportunity to check out highway 90
and drove by River Ranch Resort in Noel, MO. It looked like a pretty kewl place. Do any of you have any experiences with the Elk River and/or this resort?
Also, how doesJune 23rd or 24th July 7th July 14th sound?

Ok, so now I'm thinking about driving up on Friday, renting a cabin, sleep, float Saturday, crash and then come home on Sunday. Anybody wanna throw in on the cabin rental?
The price of the cabin depends on which resort we go to. Right now I'm leaning more towards a place on the Elk River in Noel, MO, but I need to go scope them out and decide which one will best suit our needs (I plan on doing that sometime this week).
You're welcome to camp out in tents, but just personally I prefer someshing with A/C, running water, electricity, etc.

I'm taking this Thursday (June 7th) off work to scope out the area.
Holla!
BTW, found another cabin rental place... Off the Deep End

Well, our little pre-trip today didn't go very well. Every resort along the Elk River in Noel is booked up until August. So David (2001S2000) and I hunted down a library and pulled up some other rivers. Right now we're leaning towards the Niangua River. According to Google maps, it's just over an hour from Springfield, just under 4 hours from Tulsa and just under 3 hours from St. Louis and Fayetteville.
Anyhow, nothing set in stone yet. Stay tuned for details!
