i dont mind telling you what i got here you can tell me if i got a good deal or not lol.. i paid 15.2k for it otd. i didnt even think about checking the stero or i would have tried to get them to knock a bit more off.

I was so excited to tell you about my purchase i forgot to tell you about the purchase lol.. so here is the story it might be a little long..

I get to Chicago at 8:30 the plain was delayed because of fog and they had to put a new tail light in. It was only delayed 30 mins. Then i catch a cab ( my second time in a cab) and go to the bank to get the money. The banks check machine is down so they refer me to another bank across the street.

side note.. i bank at bank of America and apparently bank of America went to Chicago and conquered the puny little banks and renamed them. BUT if your from out of state you can only go to an original bank of America. They are harder to find than you think. I spent an hour or more on the phone finding one and i get their and their machine is broke.. i thought i was in trouble but they faxed stuff to the conquered bank and all was fine..

So i get the check and some cash and head to the car lot. I get to the lot and the cab drivers like that will be 110$.. that really sucked 30 miles for 110$... i meet the salesmen i had been talking to and he shows me the car and we go for a ride. I rev it to 5-6 rpm not really much and he gets kind of antsy about it asking why i rev so high so i did WOT to 9k lol.. Then i explained myself telling him about the car. which he didnt belive. he basicaly lectured me on how to drive a car and how i was going to wreck the clutch and so on. Other than that he was pretty nice.

After i paid for the car i asked him how to open the gas cap because he had driven it home the night before to make sure the new clutch was working and i think he was the boss or possibly owner of the lot. He goes oh its easy and pulls out a key and pried the gas door open.. i about fainted.. he goes it gets stuck maybe you can fix it.. I said no theirs a button inside some ware. I took a look real quick and didnt see it. so he wanted to look and he didn't see it so 3 other employees come over and they are all basically in the car looking for this thing... i should have taken a picture. After they failed to find it i looked it over again and found it. I showed them and they all started to laugh.. after that i was off for an 11hr journey home in which i covered 700 miles and got 30 mpg on 2 tanks of gas.

The previous owner left some paper work in the car so i have his name phone number and address.... Wonder if he is a member here..

Did they permanently scratch it near the gas door?

Looks like your antenna is missing

Are you going to take the S2000 emblem off the right side or are you going to add another one the the left side?

I dont know i may take it off. Their are plugs in the car for the front and rear emblems but not one for the side i dont think.. is the side glued on or will it leave holes like the front and rear H emblem.

and theirs no scratch

Satellite radio was installed the sirus antina (sp) is wired into the secret compartment. This may be the reason for no antenna.. or some one just stole it lol.

hariku821,

Thanks for posting 'your story'. It's incredible how STOOPID a dealership can be.

Your trip was 'post 911', like mine. I replaced my wrecked suzuka MY03 with a suzuka MY02. I purchased a one-way ticket to Minneapolis and got frisked, stripped, and harassed by airport personnel in Chi-town AND Minneapolois airports Guess they were 'doing their job'.

Your car looks great. You should be proud of your new ride!
