Talimena Run this June?
Ladies and gentlemen,
I've heard great things about your drives on the Talimena Scenic Drive. To help me plan ahead, I am just curious to know if anyone is planning to do another one this coming June.

We all could spend July 4th together. Like get some hotel out that way to hook us up and we drive around shooting roman candles at each other... or not...
For real though, we should all go up there for july 4th and shoot fire works and hang out.

By the way, because schools are closed, I am open to a mid-week -- perhaps Friday or Monday -- gathering as well. This would probably reduce the chances of traffic but may be a problem for others to attend. What do people think about a mid-week gathering?

We can do July 4th, but if we do, I won't be driving the S2000. When I think of this, a certain incident of being shot at by a roman candle comes to mind. Stony stays in the garage on Independence Day.
I'm open to a mid-week gathering as well, as long as given enough advance notice to request time off work.

I'm down for this, but I'm booked solid through August. Maybe another one late September? Last time I did the drive with the BMW club we camped out at the Queen Wilhemina Lodge there towards the end of the drive on the AR side. Lots of fun, and about 20 degrees cooler up on top of the mountain.
