if you want to see a tornado you will need to track storm system low and high pressure points and humidity levels and if you are in the area you will have to chase it meaning you will have to drive hours and hours to POSSIBLY see one

A girl that used to work with me went to Oklahoma University and she said in the springtime on average they saw a few tornadoes a month. Is this bs then?

depends on the year really. sometimes we have 5 the whole year. Sometimes we will have 25 in one day.

Was that see as in I looked out my window and saw a funnel cloud or see as in a tornado touched down in my county thus my county "saw" a tornado.

I have lived in Oklahoma all my life and have had several tornadoes touch down with in a mile of where I was. I still have never actually seen one nor do I wish to..

I know it must be scary, and I can certainly see why people wouldn't ever want to see one. However living in NJ we never have to worry about tornadoes, and I have always wanted to see one. I know how dangerous they are, but I find them extremely interesting and wouldn't mind seeing one with my own eyes.

I always hear that you can't compare any picture or video to seeing one in person.
