I was talking to a guy from work the other day about car shows. He told me that he went to battlecreek and was slightly disappointed with the number of "ricers" there.

In his defense, he mentioned that there was a G35, no mods, just there to show off his ride which he thought was a little inappropriate especially the way the "gentlemen" carried himself. Course, IMHO, all cars are cool to look at, but not all agree.

I have never been to BC, but hear that it is a really good traditional crowd.

I cannot make either show - so have a great time wherever you guys decide.

I will be there by 6:15 (BYB). I hope that my "Stock" 06 NFR does not offend anyone (I know it won't offend anyone here). It is unfortunate when people make generalizations and derogatory comments about things that are supposed to be fun. Hopefully none of those types show up this evening!

I hope to meet some of you tonight!

Thumbs down

^

ATTENTION people attending tonight (April 3rd):

I just got a phone call from Claudette with the Tuesday Cruiz/Battle Creek Church car show (within minutes after I just sent out that mass text message ). They want us there for pix tonight, so whoever is coming out, let's try to be there by 6:30. I'm still going to stop by BYB beforehand to meet up with anyone who wants to drive over as a group, but the train will leave the station at 6:15, so if you head out later than that, just meet us over at Battle Creek.

FYI, Claudette said that they want us to be there to represent the Honda crew and that some of these group pix will go on the home page of their website!

I will probably meet up with you at BYB and cruise over to Battle Creek. I do have a couple of questions though. Do I need to purchase anything for the show at BC, is there an admission fee for guests, and are there any other costs I need to be aware of? I just want to be prepared since this will be a first for me! I read the original post info but I just want to be clear. Thanks in advance!

And, please forgive my ignorance

No problemo. There are no costs. The Tuesday Cruiz does have a registration process (at no charge) and I can point you in the right direction once we get there. They do have various items for sale and they accept donations, but there are no required expenses for particpants or spectators.

See you in 2 hours or so!

Voodooboy, it was a pleasure meeting you, your wife and your NFR AP2! Kevin, it was also a pleasure meeting you and your SSM AP2! As always, it was good seeing all the familiar smiling faces again (I'm not gonna list all of you cuz you know who you are!). Let's do this again next Tuesday, except maybe with a little better representation from the local S2000 community.
