Default 1st Track day Supe'd up!

Went to the PCA/BMW day @ PIR yesterday, and it was bitter sweet.

It was nice to have gone from 197whp to 300whp! I finally had my Comptech Supercharger installed and had Track Forged build me an air to air intercooler system for it. No hiccups with the kit.
It was not nice getting a staple in one of my r6's and having to run my streets. It was also not nice that I did not have my breather tube from my valve cover connected to anything (shop forgot to put a bung in my intake when they installed my intercooler or do a catch can) so I was trying to do a make shift catch can at the track, which was an epic fail three times! I never got to finish a full session due to oil going all over the place including my windshield. that was extremely frustrating! Other than that the car ran good, no heating issues, but it was a cool day and I didn't get to run a full 20 minutes. I hope to get out to The Ridge and or ORP.

FYI to you guys who are running the BMW Mondays, they are being sticklers on the 90db sound restrictions. so take precautions so you get to run all day!

Sorry to hear about that issue wasn't addressed before you hit the track. I sent you a PM too.

We will right this before your next track day!

Anyone know where at PIR they take the sound readings? My exhaust is louder then expected and I am going to have a 90 degree turndown made to hopefully direct the sound away from the microphone. I'm guessing its taken somewhere on the outside of the front straight , I was going to have it turned down and away towards the passenger side of the car (towards the infield), thanks everyone.

That should work. The mic is on the outside wall on the front straight somewhere before the bridge.

Yea the Mic is about 150 feet before the bridge on the outside wall. Should be ok having exhaust pointed on the inside part of the track. Or half throttle it in front of the Mic if you don't
