This is our fifth annual "Astoria" drive with a second attempt at our little twist !

This year we will try again to finish the drive at the beach for a beach party.

This Astoria drive is a fun, all-around drive. It includes a few hours of driving on challenging, windy two-lane roads through lush coastal forest.







We will loop back through Astoria where we will head south on Hwy. 101. At a beach-side state park along the way we will set up for an afternoon of food and fun on the beach. Think hotdogs, s'mores, playing in the sand/water, tossing around the frisbee and more!







The drive will officially end at the beach and each driver is free to head back to Portland whenever they wish (of course the intrepid will stay till dark!).





There may be a per car "day-use" permit fee for the park. We will update the post prior to the drive once we have that information.

Note:This is the Oregon S2000 Owners Forum. As such, our drives are exclusively for S2000s and their owners in Oregon and S.W. Washington.

Our drives are not open to the general public, which includes those who used to own an S2000, hope to own one, those with similar cars, or those who think the drive we've put together sounds fun and would like to tag along, etc.

I'm there....sign me up. Both times has been a whole heck of a lot of fun! Let's all bring an ipod and speakers and see what the rangers have to say about that one. Or put DJ Mike on a boat out on the ocean with huge speakers, since the ranger told us last time that it wasn't allowed from the water line to the parking lot. Hehe...

So were does this drive start? I live in Clatskanie, on Highway 30. It's not that far from Astoria.

Then we head to the beach for S'mores!
