Broken lug nut ?
I have a question for you guys. I broked a lug nut tonight by over tightening. Is it safe to drive with just four or would I need to replace the fifth bolt? I purchased two extra bolts and along with the lug nuts. If I were to replace the bolt, is there any special tools needed?? Anyways, it's the back rear passenger tire.

I cannot say for sure, but I would think it is not safe to drive that way, especially if you are going to drive hard.
Here is what I found online about it....

It's okay to drive with 4 studs...I broke a few wheel stud before in my Miata (4 lugs). I broke mine swapping wheels at the end of the track days so I had no choice but to drive home with 3 studs...a couple of times with over 200 miles with the tire tail hanging on the back of the car. Just get it replace as soon as you can..I wouldn't worry about it
THANKS BRO!!....I JUST TRY TO FIX IT!...IT'S 12AM!!...ANYWAY ONE OTHER NOT LOOKING SO GOOD!..GOT PARTS JUST CAN'T GET THE DAMN THING OFF! SHOP FIRST THING IN THE MORINING. JUST GONNA HAVE TO MISS THE DRIVE TOMORROW DAMN!!

I broke three last summer on one wheel out of the blue. Couldnt drive on that one. I would have been ok had it only been one. I blame Schwabs for it too, not that it does any good.
Sorry to hear Mike.
