,
most supreme octane in Oregon is 92, however it's only 91 in surrounding states.

Yep you got it. Thats the firing order. So you'd wanna swap the coil closest to the firewall.. #4.. if you get to that point. Hopefully the gas treatment will help. I always have used chevron supreme cause I like the commercials with the talking cars of course. Oh and never get gas when you see a gas truck there filling the tanks of the gas station. I've heard thats bad.
That makes sense, because then you would be getting the bottom of the barrel gas instead of good new fresh gas. So an update here is that I used the supreme at shell it was either 91 or 93 octance I forgot already with some gas treatment. After I filled the car with treatment and gas I cleared the cel and I have driven about 10miles so far and no cel. About to drive 10 more miles today to work and back so I hope everything goes well.
I think the main issue with the tank refill is when the truck is pumping gas into the tanks, it stirs up all the sediment at the bottom which can make its way into your fuel filter.

Yeah theres a lot old wives tales about gas but I think that one is true cause it just makes sense that it would kick up sediment when getting filled. I also hear that places like ARCO water down their gas and thats why its so cheap. Not sure if that one is true but I stay away from them anyway. I've also heard that the 10% ethanol can reek havoc on some engines too. I suppose any one of those things in excess could lead to a misfire maybe.

Ooooh ok yeah that makes sense. Yeah I never go to arco for gas. I usually go to space age on 99w by my house. I use to always go to chevron when I lived in tualatin though. I'll report back tonight after I get back from work - that will be 20+ miles driven since resetting the cel.

Soooo... I ended up taking my car to trackforged for a valve adjustment and to check my coils and plugs. Wellllll lets just say ap1 retainers suck and the ones on cylinder 4 were cracked and same with the keepers. Valve stem also a little messed up. Anyways, I left it at forged and I'm getting all the retainers and keepers on the head replaced with ap2 retainers and etc... If anyone wants to help out with the funds on this expensive project then please PM me for my paypal account!
