Default Chaz's(H22toF20's) build thread

I'm at the one year mark now so I've decided to make a build thread finally. I bought the 00' Silversone 100% OEM.

The mod's as of now are,

K&N FIPK with BPI velocity stack with recommended K&N filter
AUT cooling plate
Hytech 3" test-pipe
HKS 75mm single exhaust
17x9 +63 TSW Nurburgrings at all 4 corners(in matte gunmetal)
255/40 Dunlop Star Spec's at all 4 corners
Skunk2 5-speed shift knob(out of my Prelude lol)

On to the pictures. She's obviously dirty.

What you will see in on the S in the near future. Here are some parts I have laying around.

Some HKS Hipermax Sport III coilovers(13kg front/11kg rear)

Some Megan Racing toe arms(rear bump-steer-kit) and tie rod ends.

To finish off my exhaust side I have a Berk HPC coated header(2" primaries/secondaries and 2.5" collector). Just ordered the gaskets for this, sense Berk didn't supply them.

I've wanted to put my Carbing catch can out of my Prelude on this thing for a long time now. I just never could find a place to mount it though. Well tonight I googled it and to my surprise I found a picture of a Carbing can on an S2k mounted from a spot I completely overlooked. Here's the picture. I'll obviously run the hoses right though.

After I clean it up, get some more hose and a longer screw, I'll get this guy on.

I also bought an ebay ram intake off of exodusx7x to be used with the FIPK box. Why? This way the BPi stack will sit flush to the pipe, it'll get rid of the ugly K&N pipe and it's a bigger inside diameter. Both pipes are 3" OD, but the K&N is a much thicker piping. This left a lip right where the stack is mounted to the pipe.

Thanks guys. After I get those parts on, I'm going to save for a truck. This way the S can sit in a heated garage during the winter. After that though, the mods will keep coming.

I planned on getting my header installed today but the donut gasket that I ordered didn't come yet. Instead I got the Carbing catch can and the ebay intake pipe installed. I had to saw off some so it would fit right with the BPI stack. Other than that it dropped right in with the FIPK box.

The yellow/green really POPS. I think I might leave it that color for a while. I'm not really sure about any power increase, but she felt VERY strong tonight. I expected it to be louder but it's hard to tell with my 3" headerback lol

Here's a picture I snapped with my windows phone.

I did some more driving today and I love this intake set-up; I think the ECU finally adjusted to it. The VTEC cross-over is MUCH harsher(obviously needs to be lowered for even more gains), power from 6-8k seems flat and the drop off after 8k isn't nearly as bad. I think with the true 3" pipe, I'm able to actually utilize the velocity stacks potential. This set-up works, I'd recommend it to anyone with an FIPK.

I'm hoping to have the header on Thursday night or Friday, just in time for the HT meet.
