Default Coilovers

Well having discovered the my rear bump stops have literally disentegrated, Im in the market for a set of coilovers. I know itd probably be a cheap fix to get new bump stops, but with all the suspension pieces I have around to sell the overall cost for a new set of coils seems in my budget.

Right now Im looking at the Buddy clubs N+ and the Megan streets. If anyone has experience with these, please let me know what you think. Or just let me know what you think even if you dont have them, but keep it constructive.

My price range is under 1k, im not looking for anything fancy, just something that will do with my daily driving and our group drives.

I believe tommy has megan coilovers. He has been riding on them for awhile now and I don't think he has had a problem.

Hopefully he'll read this then. Im leaning towards the megans more because of the spring rates.

Its hard to find a realistic review on here though because everytime some one asks about the megans the thread is usually bombarded with trash talking. Most of which is hard to read thru.

I've been rocking the megan tracks, picked up second hand and they have been rock solid for me. The track version is on the stiffer side but does not bother me I DD my car, well I DD'd my car up until a week ago and i'm happy with them. megans are made in the same factory as apexi so in theory you are getting the same quality.

I've had them for about 3 years now and 30+k miles (one year on my ap1 and two years on the ap2). I am a happy owner =) I have the track series. They ride stiff but nothing annoying. With 32 adjustment levels you could have it rock solid or just right. Not bouncy at all. I have the fronts set to about 25 and 20 rears. Works great around the corners too should I add. I haven't tried the street series but I have heard them to be softer and more comfortable.

The number one reason why coilovers fail (regardless of make) is because they are installed improperly. Be sure that when installing the shock has the furthest amount of travel.

Thanks guys, I was really looking at the tracks because at the same price as the streets I figured might as wellgo with the more aggresive setup in case I choose to autox or anything in the future. I also like my ride on the firmer side too.

Do the tracks come with a set preload?

Well, I have the BC race+ and think I am happy with them... I have not put that many miles on them to give a great review, but on the street they are comfortable, I just had my first "on track" experience with them yesterday, and I ended up chewing up my 2 brand new star spec!!! Ouch!!! We had just dialed them in the night before and when I got to the track everything was good, I did rub slightly but when I went over the curbing 2 I ####ed my tires up bad! I was able to drive home but I would not use the tires again. My drivers side front is 2cm lower than the passenger side and that was after I raised it a bit. I am going have to do some tweaking but I need to figure out if I have a bad shock or not... Anyway, I probably would not have had this issue if I just rolled the fenders! Oh well, live and learn, I am just hoping America's Tire will warranty them... fingers crossed!

I've got an inexpensive set of K-Sport Pro. They are a lower end coilover but I don't track. They have 36 points of adjustment which is good and I don't notice them being much stiffer than stock.
