The A.D.D Thread
the cel on DBW has been discussed many times over, i have worked with berk directly to try to get it to work. ive used 3 layers of defoulers, reset my ecu a million times. its a no go. i even switchd to a highflow berk now and still get the light. the dbw is extremely sensative to sensor changes. the tech there told me its probably 9/10 chance you will get a cel with dbw. however, the cell itself isnt doing anything different to your car. just obnoxiously bright orange. the last trick they told me that worked on a couple of the many they have sold, is to stuff muffler packing inside the fix to keep the sensor hot enough to get a good reading. if you notice, when you reset your ecu, the reason the cel fluctuates on how long it takes to turn on has a lot to do with the weather. when its cold out, my cell turns on in 10miles or less, when i get a few hot days, i get to 100 or so. sorry for the extra long post guys. its been a pain
that was the problem with the older hondas ecus, obd2 etc etc. but i confirmed with berk, and honda that the specific cat deficiency cel does not mess with the behavior of the fuel trims. i even went to the extent of monitoring my car on a program my friend had that he uses at his work. i monitored the fuel trims while the cel is off, and went back 100 or so miles later after the cell was on to monitor the fuel trims to confirm the info i received and they were exactly the same. im just speaking from my personal experiences and all the various research and people i have contacted.

So my car isn't losing a few horsepower and sucking more gas with the CEL on?
If it isn't then I can live with the CEL for a year until I get K-pro.
