I should also add that you will typically hear the TCT after a warm start. If the car is cold, it usually wont make the noise until you shut it off and then start again after everything is warmed up.

I've found that (at least with mine) that it will make the noise on warm start, but then go away after driving for a bit

Tony, in Under the Hood there is a whole thread dedicated to the TCT noise.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...c=320897&st=25

Feel free to call me if you have any questions. I can also take more detailed pictures if you need. I have a spare TCT that is out and disassembled too if you want to see what is needed to re-work yours.

Same with mine Aaron.... After it gets going(warmed up) it seems to pick up volume

which is pretty embarrasing, just makes me wanna keep my top up and hide in the darkness

Tct didn't cost me a dime. Apparently its an engineering flaw in the design. You need to take the tct apart and pull out the worm gear and have it either sand blasted or sand the crap out of it. It sounds bad but its really easy. definitely look at the thread Sabre posted I think its like 23 pages of the exact same thing tomorrow I will post some pictures and show you just what you will need to do

Iv been going over threads and vids on this
the link Aaron sent me has really helpful info and pictures
Now I’m trying to figure out if I should replace it or just try and clean it up.
After that Id have to convince my self to do it since I’m always scared to touch little things like that, don’t want to ruin anything in the process
my guess I’ll end up replacing it next week.

In the mean time looking to see how I can clean her up and add some new things
