Default Event Ideas?

I have been thinking of different events we could put together for this summer but I don't have a whole lot of ideas yet. Wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts??

We will be doing the st. helens drive/bbq hopefully for sure. I also want to put together a gorge drive. I thought it might also be fun to go to the Late Night drags at PIR one night. Its cheap and we can check out all the rice there . I know the Autox guys will frown on this . Someone mentioned a drive to the coast? That is a definite option when the weather gets better. I hate the oregon coast when its cold. We have the pats acres kart event with the pacnw crew which will be fun, but I am thinking we should throw together a sykart meet also (maybe before pats acres for practice )? Maybe a wash/wax day (someone with a big driveway wanna chime in here?? )??? What do you guys think????

I'd like to go down to woodburn for the 1320 drags sometime soon. I've never done a real 1320 run in any car, and I'd love to give it a try. Please no one say that the S is not a drag car... that debate is completely irrelevant... I merely want to go to have fun. Its supposed to be pretty cheap. I think we should do it sometime in the next month or two.

I like the idea of going to sykart for practice

A trip through the gorge on the old highway so we can see all of the waterfalls would be awesome.

I don't know how far everyone is willing to go for a good drive, but I have taken three road trips(never in the S, but I want to REAL bad) through the redwoods down the coast into Cali. I will definetly be doing it this year in the S so if anyone is interested maybe we can set some dates.

Also, it is beautiful out here in Central Oregon and it is a great place for road trips. Plus, I just found out there is Auto-X at the fair grounds here(Redmond, OR) through the summer for the X'ers.

Let me know if these are go's or no's.

Late,

Brandon

Gorge -

Drags - I want to see what my car can manage, but I've NEVER launched the car. Not once. I' afraid of losing my pumpkin. But I guess I could go, for the sake of seeing what trap speed I can manage.

St Helens/BBQ -

Sykart -

Wash/Wax day -
I'd volunteer my driveway, but it's too far. But I'll make the treck down for some good detailing. I need to steal some pictures with Rock Lee. But, the drive home will coat my hood in bugs all over again, haha.

Brandon,
I've only heard great things about the Redwood highways through NorCal... Unfortunately that might be a BIT too far for me. But I do have a buddy in San Fran I need to pay a visit to, so perhaps if the dates were right I could go at least one way with ya'll.

Maybe something similiar to what Silverknight/Wyatt are doing. Not in terms of gutting the mods out of Silver's car, but if people want to collectively install their mods and have a bbq. Always nice to have some extra hands and knowledge to help. Of course, like the wash and wax, we would need a good amount of space.

I love the last idea being incorporated with the BBQ.
I need to do that speed mod...

Also shaving side badges if you want, removing windshield tape, lubing the clutch (squeek), etc...

And if you need more intense installations, many of us can save you ridiculous shop rates. PWRMKR is in the process of teaching me. I can do most, but not everything.

Regardless, that sounds fun. Even though one side of me says I DONT WANT TO BENEFIT FROM THIS DAY. My car better be done by then.
