The final story...
Hey everybody - I just wanted to check in and give people a wrap-up of the saga that was my burned S. As some of you saw, my S caught fire about a month ago in the parking lot of Fry's.
We may never know absolutely for sure what caused that to happen, but I wanted to give a shout out to Jason and the gang at PSI for the awesome way they handled everything. While the insurance folks were doing their thing I had to be silent, but now that it's over I can share that PSI stepped up and took responsibility based upon their own assessment of the facts. Bad things can happen to anybody (mechanical things sometimes just break), and that's why reputable shops have insurance for this kind of thing. But not every shop is going to go to battle for you with their insurance carrier - that's where the men are separated from boys. There are a lot of places that will pipe-in boost for you, but how many of them would treat you like a valued client when the stuff hits the fan? I would hope they all do, but life tells me that's not the case. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to PSI, because they treat you right in good times AND in bad. That, and because boost is awesome
its a conflicting feeling. you would of hoped stuff like this never happened in the first place, but its rare in the automotive and specially in the aftermarket industry for a shop to step up and take care of the customer in these scenarios.

I am glad things worked out for you. But, personally, I would not be so optimistic if an aftermarket shop was responsible for my car burning down. That they took responsibility for it, was excellent and only adds to their reputation, but JMHO, I would not go the same route the next time around.

My condolences - had no idea. Hope everything turned out OK for you. PM me any details / background. Mine's been up there since early January & after missing the first 4 races this season (in a few series) I may have to find a co-drive option this year.
