Default "Fix-It" Ticket?

As you may remember, I got a ticket early last month for not having my front plate on. Here

Many of you thought this would be a "Fix-It" ticket. Well, not in my experience!

I put the plate on, took a photo with it in place and sent it in with my plea and my $97.00 bail.

End of story - they kept the money!

So beware! If you are caught in the Portland metro area, you can expect it to cost you $97.00.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. I know in the Tacoma, WA area where I am from it's a "fix-it" ticket.

I feel for you man - the S looks soooo much better when that chunk of metal is not hanging off the bumper.

darngarnit photo radar - they want to make sure they can snatch you and send you a friendly speeding ticket - I have even been pulled over and "warned" to remove clear covers off of previous rides when I lived in Vancouver because they screw up the snapshot.

again, sorry to hear they wouldn't give you a break

Yes, I remember seeing you!

We were actually just meeting up with the rest of the S2000 owners for a beach drive. I thought you were going too and couldn't figure out why you didn't join us.

You'll have to come along on one of our upcoming drives!

OK, OK . . . I take back all those bad things I said about the Multnomah County Circuit Court.

Today, two months after the court date, I received a partial refund on my bail in the amount of $24.00. So the "Fix-It" part saved me $24. The fine was $73.

For those who are interested.

Did it go on your record?

73$ divided by the number of days you went without...
