No, it doesn't go on your record - it isn't a moving violation.

They may, however, keep track for future stops... to make sure it says "fixed".

Well, when you put it that way, it was actually pretty cheap - just $ .13 per day!

I went for a year and a half before they caught me.

I was curious about that. I just moved to the area (Vancouver) and have not ever had the front plate installed. Had two warnings in Texas over the 7+ years.
