I am sure that they don't like me...all of them. There were even times when we get gas on the drive and I had issues like spillage or cap not screwed on all the way...like at Quartzville last year (2008), and our Bend trip this year and many others.

What I think is sad is that it doesn't feel like a service to have your gas pumped. There was one place back in Arkansas that was actually a "full service" station. Not only would they pump your gas, but they would wash the windows, check the fluids, and treat you EXTREMELY nicely. I didn't go there often, but it always felt like a treat. It is just so sad that Oregon is quite the opposite. Often feels like we (the gas consumer) are providing a service (stupid easy jobs) to umm.... less than awesome people.

(Though I am sure there are a few really great gas attendants out there.)

I can't agree more. Where is the pride in the work, whether you earn $5.00 or $500.00 per hour, it doesn't matter.

I have been here for 4+ years and have yet to find them - let me know if anyone does.

Sorry to hear, Amy.

When I moved to OR, I was saddened to have to adopt this policy that is in common with NJ.
