Crud. I'll tag along another time. I've already committed to work at the PIR swap meet that weekend. I promise I'm not trying to avoid your events!

No problem Marcus Weather may not permit us anyhow... I have heard fom several sources that we should have a fairly rainy Spring.

I will be running a 5K across the bridges downtown if the weather is bad and we have to skip the Gorge. Anyone up for a run? Beers and good people will be present!

It'll be a NICE drive. Don't think we'll be doing anything that would harm you new S.

I agree... as long as you are not using 6th gear and are varying your RPM's you will be fine. Some may argue this is a good way to break in a car, but don't get me started on that

Personally I plan on breaking the next one in aggressively... I'm not saying stupidly, but more indicative of how the car will be driven after break in, verus babying it. I think setting the rings early and aggressively is a good idea for this car. I'll guess we'll have to wait and see.

P.S. I hope the weather is Gorgeous on 4/3!!!

Yeah I agree on the whole varying rpm's thing...Not sure how I feel about the "rough" break in, I have been hearing about that lately.

Ok, Ill let ya know what I decide

Hopefully picking it up tonight.... good day for it... NOT!

I followed the Honda break-in recommendations for the first 250 miles, then I got gradually more aggressive with it. Result is that I don't burn any oil. Greg, if you remember back to the last drive I attended, I checked my oil before and after and noticed no difference. I did switch to full synthetic at the first oil change (had the engine flushed also).

So, I'm a bit over 20k miles and am not burning any oil between changes (4500 - 5000 miles between). I'm pretty happy with the results so far and am looking to go 150k plus on this engine, before I have it torn down and rebuilt.

Also, hoping for good weather.

Saw a Spa in Vancouver yesterday with this HUGE wing hanging off the trunk. It was out over the bumper, not much over the trunk. Can't say that I was impressed with the look.
