On top of that, if a thief breaks into your car, they're more likely to steal the seats because those are easier to sell in a much larger market.

The hardtop is a pretty demand-limited item. It isnt like you could sell it to a ricer civic.

i agree, if someone wants the car bad enough, these things arent going to stop a brazen thief. but i think what it does is gives you a little reassurance you wont be a victim of a smash and grab. it would take all of 2 min to grab the top vs unbolting the seats.

^^^ I agree. Its just an extra preventative, and a good one at that. Unless you leave your car parked outside at night it will be pretty much impossible for a thief to walk away with your top. [assuming the locks work well]

& a sketch area has nothing to do with it. Theft is a crime of opportunity. You can have you car parked in the nicest place and all's it takes is one person to see it a bye bye hardtop.

It takes less than a minute to get a HT off & the market is much higher for a HT than it is for seats. The top will fetch 2-3 times more than a pair of s2k seats

Before I bought my bb hardtop I called or messaged on every one that popped up on craigslist and they were sold within a day or so.
