Default Headlight upgrades?

I am interested in upgrading my headlights on my 05' S2k. What should I look for and where should I look? I don't want to spend too much money but I will to get a good setup.

Are you talking about changing the whole headlight assembly out?? I have never heard of anyone doing that, the only headlight mods I have heard of is the clear diffusers, and changing the hid blubs to a different temp to change the color of them. Kpxguy has different bulbs on his, I am sure he will chime in here

our headlights already rival those that are on cars twice its price... you'd be hard pressed to "improve" upon what comes from the factory.

Now if you want to change the color of the lights, then yes you can go with a higher temp bulb for the hid's and that will change it to be bluer, but you will also lose lumens i.e. they won't be as bright...

I will reiterate.
You can get 6k or 8k bulbs for a bluer look but compromising brightness..

You can change the amber circle to a clear/smoked one if you are willing to remove the bumper, bake the lights, seperate the lenses, and remove/replace it.

You can add either AP1 or AP2 eyelids to it... Personally I hate the AP2 eyelids, but to each their own.

Yeah, I do not want to change out the whole headlight. I just want to upgrade bulbs and possibly an eyelid. Hopefully Kpxguy will let me know what he has and where to get them. Also, I have been thinking about powder coating my stocks to gunmetal or maybe black. Does anyone have an idea of how much this will cost. I would also like to hear opinions on whether or not to do this.

I have heard for stock wheels anywhere from 75-125 a wheel for a good powdercoating job. Portland Powder Coating is the only one I know off the top of my head.

If you are in Oregon, there is a place in Eugene that does it for only $50/wheel.
If you are willing, there is a place in Tacoma that does an AMAZING job for $85/wheel.
I think PCing OEM wheels is a cheap and effective way to improve the looks of your car. Just MO. Mine are gloss black.

I have 6000K bulbs and KPXGUY has 8000K. We both bought ours at, I think, www.hidynamics.com. Good luck! Our bulb is a D2S...

i have 10k in my car. i wouldnt recomend it if you do any rual driving. i hardly ever good into areas the are super dark. i got them for super cheap so i couldnt resist it. they look wicked. super purple and from afar they are blinding, hahaha. its odd, but the 10k's are brighter, but they offer less visibilty. if i did it over again i'd do 6k or 3k or stock.

6000K are my favorite.
3000K are yellow, which are sweet for foglights. I have PIAA Ion Crystal (yellow) high beams to compliment the 6000K low beam.

Do you have any info on the place in Tacoma? I would definetly do it for that price.
