Default Help with running lights :)

Today during the Newport drive Steffan mention to me that my rear running lights don't work. My question is that my further most rear tail lights stays on is that consider a running light on a 2000 ap1? My brake lights and everything works fine I checked the fuse small lights and it was perfectly fine.... Can anyone here clarify this situation? If anyone has a 2000 ap1 can you turn on your headlights and see which tail lights light stay on?

Tommy,

I don't know what year Steffan's car is, but his 2 round tail lights are definitely on. During the drive, I thought you had tinted your tail lights because they were so dark. Didn't know it was broken.

The rear tail lights are a dual filiment bulbs, they may still come on when the brakes are applied but not when the headlights are on, you most likely just need to replace the main bulbs in your tail lights

I learned this a while back after a night drive when I had the same issue I think your trying to describe and Ira was having to work double hard not to rear end me

Evan that's great advice, I didn't know they were like that. I remember my civic was like that. You really don't know because when you step on the brake the lights still work.

Just replace the bulb? Is it a coincidence that it happens on both side? I check the small light fuse and it looks good so i know it's not the fuse.......

Its a common coincidence, I guess. Mine both went out at the same time as well.

Just replace the bulb and you should be good. When you pull out the old one you should see two filaments inside the bulb. And I bet one of those filaments is broken.
