Default Hey There

Hi everyone, been browsing s2ki for a couple of weeks and gathering lots of information and ideas. Awesome forum!!

I put down a deposit on 06 LBP and am picking it up in a couple of weeks. I have been dreaming of an S2000 for a few years now and finally have the opportunity to pick one up.

All it took was a test drive up and down my favorite test track (germantown road) to decide that I had to have one.

I have recently moved to Bend and have seen a number of s2k's running around - always a bit jealous I am sure a few of them were you guys

I hope to join you guys for a few drives this year - that would be definitely cool! I make it over the valley at least once a month and would like to join you guys at your Saturday meets if it works out.

Thanks for all the great info and pics...

Kent

Great color of choice lol. I love my laguna. Only bad thing about 06 models is that they're are barely any aftermarket parts.

Hi Kent!

Welcome to the forum and S2000 ownership. We would love to have you join us on the drives and meets.

Brandon will be happy to have someone to caravan to Portland with.

We have a dinner meet this coming Saturday the 10th. If you can make that, it would be great. Otherwise, maybe we can see you at our meet on March 10th.

Again, welcome!

Larry

Another Bendite here with a big Welcome!

I saw a LBP downtown yesterday and for a moment wondered if it was maybe you. But apparently not.

Look forward to eventually meeting up at a meet/drive as it will be my first year taking part as well.

Welcome to the board!!

I would say that Laguna is my second favorite OEM color next to Grand Prix White.

How ya doing Kent?

It seems like we are getting more and more involvement from the Central Oregon crowd lately I was starting to feel like I was the only one down here We should meet up when you get your S sometime. I would love to see that LBP in person. I have yet to see one on the road.

Larry- You are right, I have been waiting for somebody to make the trip up north for the meets with

Kent- PM me or give me a call if you ever want to get together down here in Redmond or Bend sometime and go for a little cruise

Later,

Brandon

Wow, I wasn't expecting such a big welcome...Thanks everyone

AP2autox - I certainly hope that aftermarket parts for 06+ are available soon

I will not be able to make the meet this weekend Larry unfortantley, but I hope to make it in March if work allows... Thank you I appreciate the welcome.

Thanks "gomarlins3" I recently sold my 01 Electron Blue Prelude which is very close in color - hardest sell I had to do but I needed a vehicle for Central Oregon weather - I couldn't stand to see it deterate anymore. I think an SK2 will allow me to totally forget it

Hi "Planets" Thank you, No, I have been dealing with St. Johns Honda for a few years and was able to strike up a deal. Pretty good dealership to deal with even though they were recently sold to Larry Miller.

I haven't seen the LBP in town yet "Sabre" hmmm thats cool... I am too looking foward meeting up... I am sure we will run into each other on the street especially since we heading into spring
Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks "kpxguy411" I do too love GPW, very clean

Hi Brandon, that would be cool to caravan over to the valley, do have a favorite way to go? During summer Santiam pass and even 197 through Mopin are fun drives. I definitly PM you when I get my ride... would really like to meet up and kick tires. It would awesome to hit McKenzie Pass or Century Drive for a stroll

Thanks again everyone - hope to meet you all soon !

If you dont mind taking a MAJOR detour to P-town, taking Scenic Route 242 (the old McKenzie Pass) is a total blast. Our own little Tail of the Dragon, you might say.

The downside, is you end up on the road to Eugene instead of Portland. Not bad if you dont mind the drive.

-- Brandon, I think it would be a great idea to put together a small local meet just to get to know eachother a bit better.
I'm "new" to actually taking part in the S community, I think it'd be fun to get to know all of you local C.O peeps before diving in to the wide-spread gatherings.
