Default HPDE at ORP and PIR?

As the topic description states, I'm interested in attending some HPDE events at either PIR or ORP this summer but I'm having some issues locating the car clubs that sponsor such events. A friend of mine suggested NASIOC but I wasn't able to find anything remotely helpful on their site. I'm specifically interested in beginner level HPDE so an instructor led event would be ideal. I'm more interested in doing it right than being the fastest on the track. Any suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

I am doing my first HPDE event at PIR (as a novice) with the BMW club an 6/6/11. They are one of the few clubs that allow S2000s without an aftermarket roll cage. Check here - http://www.bmwacaportland.com/hpde. Let me know if you need more info.

Awesome, thanks! You bring up a good point too. I only have the factory roll hoops so that will likely limit the clubs that I can run with.

Looks like they have an event on July 25 that I can attend. Do you know if they require a club membership in order to participate in their events?

No membership needed, but you get a $15-20 discount if you are.

I was planning on attending but seeing how my S does not have an engine, I will not be attending! Have fun, my uncle will be out there in a Red 944 Turbo! Give him hell!
