Well, actually what I’m doing is stepping down – as the S2Ki Oregon co-CO.

All good things must come to an end, and the honor of being your CO has definitely been a good thing for me. Over the past 5 years I have thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of my fellow-S2000 owners as we have explored Oregon and the Pacific Northwest , did spit-and-polish , delved into the innards of the S2000, and brought a former sub-forum of the PacNW region into a stand-alone forum of its own.

The S2Ki Oregon forum has had a succession of CO’s over the years and it is time for me to pass the baton on to yet another S2000 owner to continue the leadership of this forum.

It has been a great 5 years or so and an experience I’ll never forget. I have been particularly blessed to have had Aaron as my co-CO for the past few years. He has been an outstanding CO and true asset to the community. I can’t say enough about Aaron’s dedication and contribution to what we have accomplished here!

I am confident that Aaron will continue to lead this forum in an exemplary manner and to work with my replacement as the forum evolves and becomes even better.

It has been a lot of fun, but I am looking forward to my “retirement” as CO and a chance to focus on some of my other interests.

All the best! .

Larry

Sorry to hear we are losing you as our CO. I have enjoyed your leadership, but understand this position also carries with it a lot of responsibility, long hours and commitment. Wishing you all the best. Hope you will still be around for drives and other outings.

Larry,

We have only been with the group for short period of time, but are amazed at how organized and well run it is. I know this is due to you and Aaron putting in a huge amount of your time and effort.

I also know from experience how demanding volunteer work can be and understand the need to step aside and let a new person have some of the “fun”. Wendy and I have enjoyed the past drive season and look forward to seeing you and Debbie on drives in the future.

Thanks for your time and dedication!

Arnie & Wendy

Larry- it is a truly sad day for the Oregon S2k society. I don't think that this forum would be where it is today without your exceptional leadership and dedication.

It has been a long, fun drive with you these past 5 years. Lots of miles logged. Lots of smiles shared. You will be missed.

Now get your on and head out on your next adventure :exitright: !

I'm sorry to hear that you are stepping down.. I have heard nothing but great things about the Oregon community so whoever takes your spot will have big shoes to fill.

Now.. having said that, I do need to chime in... I'm sure Hiep or Ira would be great COs but please post a thread to see if there are other nominees as well. Also, once the nominees have been selected, please put the vote in a thread as well as a nominee thread...

^ This is to stay consistant with how other Communities vote for new COs.

Thanks!

I'm very sorry to hear that you're stepping out as our CO. You are an excellent organizer for our group and you'll be missed. Thank you for those 5 years of dedication on setting up a lot of unforgettable and exhilirating drives that we went through. I hope you'll still join with us on our drive even though occasionally. Have great time on your retirement.
