I am fine with that, as long as they are willing to follow the expectations that I set forth and understand that this is an invite only, meaning that can't just randomly drop in on other drives unless invited. Make sense?

Of course...this is just that one time. The C63AMG coupe might not make it. What time do you think we can be home?

Currently the total drive time is less than 5 hours, leaving from the McDonalds. That will not take into account stops at the rest area (maybe 10 to 15 minutes), Astoria Column (maybe 30 to 45 minutes) and lunch should be about 90 minutes. So to safe, say 7.5 hours from the time we leave to the time we are back in the major metro area. I think we should be back around 4:30 or so.

Dj mike and I are down depending on weather. I'm a pansy when it comes to rain so hopefully it is dry out. If I'm thinking of the road that we are going on, I got blasted with rock chips from the Astoria drive a few years back!! Hopefully it is cleared up.

I'd really like to join you. I wasn't sure there'd be any rides this year, all the more reason not to miss one. But. (You knew there was a "but" coming, didn't you?) I'm going to be in Austin Texas that day at the Circuit of the Americas watching the MotoGP races with a few friends.

Have a GREAT time! I know you will. I just wish I could be here to share it with y'all...

Dean

Heads up we were in the Cape Kiwanda and north area this weekend via 6 and 101 and the backroads - the roads have a lot of gravel on them still from the winter, even more so on the back roads, may want to tape up the front bumpers.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a plan to head out the weekend before to do a quick check of the roads and see what condition they are in.

I should be there representing the geriatric branch of the group.
