KWv3 Coilover review
I made the decision recently to not only upgrade the suspension on my car but with that, lower the stance a little bit
Before I decide on a full fledged coilover system, I made the decision to lower the car on springs and AP2 suspension. Once I decide on the coilovers I will post up a review here, but until then, here are some pics of my car I snapped recently. I think the look has an aggressive feel to it.
**EDIT: I've decided to go with the KWv3 Suspension as an upgrade to my OEM CR suspension. I'm hopefully going to have them installed on Monday then aligned, can't wait
Before** Dan's car next to mine, you can see the height difference.

During the intermediate drop when I went to springs on AP2 suspension;

Thank you to everyone that helped me swap them out
9/30/10 As for the review
I did end up getting a coilover system manufactured by KW Suspension. I went with the Variant 3;

I'd read a lot of reviews, and what I had hoped to be able to afford with my budget was tein monoflex, buddyclub n1, KWv3, or Bilstein Pss9.
The stock spring rates for the CR are 392lb/in (7.00kg/mm) Front and 342lb/in (6.22kg/mm) Rear. The KWv3's are higher, they are 10.00kg/mm in front and back, so both were an upgrade as far as spring rates.
The Coilover itself provides adjust-ability for damping as well as rebound, they are dual adjustable. I started with recommended settings which were on the softer side of the middle. After driving for a while, I did stiffen them up to where it feels stiffer than stock CR suspension.
I just got back from driving 2500 miles to homecoming and am happy to report the ride quality is much better over stock. It's much more smooth and bumps are not as "rattling" inside the car. Take the bumps along the horrible roads in LA worried me, but they seemed to hold up ok
Performance wise, I'm happy as well. I've hit some roads in the west hills as well as some turns on highways. The body roll on the car is considerably less and the stiffness of the car provides quite a bit of confidence in cornering situations.
With coilovers I can lower the car as well, which i did to improve the looks some. Roughly 1.5 inches all the way around. At this height I still managed the roadways between Portland to LA and did not have any problems
Here are the photos of the new drop. Hopefully someone will find this helpful

Thanks Garret and Lai
,
It actually is noticeable. The CR suspension was quite stiff, and I'm looking to obtain something that can expand on that stiffness with a coilover system. I have to admit I do like the feeling of sitting lower to the ground as you go around turns, there is a bit more body roll than I had been used to.
But for the time being, its just looks

I assume the spring rate on the stock CR springs is higher than the lowering springs on there now.

congrats Ira
