Hi folks,

I'll be making my move to Corvallis somewhere at the end of this month to attend pharmacy school.

I just wanted to get a heads up on some of the traffic laws up there.

1) My windows are tinted about 55%. What are the specific limits (if any)?

2) I have a smoked license plate cover. Are these allowed?

3) Are front plates required?

4) Cell phone use. I know in California, talking on the phone is not allowed while driving.

Please let me know so I can have these changed, if need be, before I move up.

The news isn't good....

1 - 35% is the legal limit for tint.

2 - Smoked plate covers are not allowed.

3 - Front plate is required.

4 - Hands-free cellphone use only.


The good news.... No sales tax!

 

That being said, we have mixed reports on enforcement.

 

There's a Honda dealership owner down there who bought an S2000 painted in Oregon State orange directly from the factory. Keep an eye out and get us a pic. (I haven't seen it in person).

Uhhh guys...we have a GREAT S2k group.

 

I thought a front plate was an option ..... Haven't had one on any car I've ever owned and never been pulled for it....And I've been pulled over alot

 

Furthermore, Honda doesn't do custom paint "from the factory". That's somewhat outside their target market
