Raleigh Hills is 97225
East Moreland and Sellwood are 97202
Hawthorne is 97214
You probably don't want anything too close to Division (just south of Hawthorne), though there are some decent finds in that area.

Brantshali, thanks for the info. We'll be coming out this week for househunting -- a whirlwind four days to figure out the city and decide upon where we want to live and to look at what's available in those areas -- so this is timely. I appreciate the help. And, having finally gotten my EMS dialed in, the car's ready to make the trip (in a covered 18 wheeler, of course!).

We're looking at neighborhoods more or less defined by (i) 217 on the west (although we'd extend that 2 miles further out), (ii) Lake Oswego on the south, (iii) Cedar Mills on thhe northwest, (iv) Forest Park to the north, and (v) the Willamette to the east.
Within that (relatively large area), we're looking specifically at houses in the neighborhoods of Lake Oswego, Tigard, Beaverton, Raleigh Hills, and those north or Route 26, as well as a few properties in Portland proper.
We're pretty well setup with a good real estate agent, rental car, and a place to stay, but if we get stuck or need some advice, I'll get online (I'll have my laptop). Thanks for the offer to help. It's nice to know there's help if we need it.
As for the beast, well, I'm pretty happy with it, at least. Keep an eye out for a "EMS testimonial" in the Under the Hood Forum. I'm convinced that anyone with forced induction is running big risks by blowing a stock fuel map, as the timing is way too aggressive.
Best to you all,
Christopher
