Mt. St. Helens Drive - Saturday May 15th
Mt St Helens Exploration! – Saturday May 15th
SATURDAY, May 15th – 4 hours Driving time & 200+ Miles
We will make our departure from the North Portland area and make a short run up I5 to begin the exploration into the mountain wilderness!
We will have plenty of time at the various centers to check out the sights and take in the activities and presentations they have available. Our travels will let us check out the Johnston Ridge Observatory which will give a nice view of the caldera.
We will also be stopping at one of the beautiful side parks for a picnic lunch to eat, chat and discuss the surroundings.
This will be a socially distanced drive, once we reach the top (observatory) the drive is officially over and everyone can go about their way at their leisure. The observatory is currently open with limited facilities. There are bathrooms (portapotties) and no fee's are currently required.

Note:This is the Oregon S2000 Owners Forum. As such, our drives are exclusively for S2000s and their owners in Oregon and S.W. Washington.
Our drives are not open to the general public, which includes those who used to own an S2000, hope to own one, those with similar cars, or those who think the drive we've put together sounds fun and would like to tag along, etc.
We are not trying to be snobby here, but are trying to clarify what we are about – The fun and adventure of Honda S2000 ownership. Thanks!

Seems we have two drives going on the same day! If anyone is interested this is what I have planned for a decent crowd:
Portland Meetup & Cruise
May 15th 2021 - Saturday
Starting point:
11:00AM
Wilshire Park (east side of the park)
4119–4289 NE 37th Ave
Portland, OR 97211
Lunchtime:
Estimated 12:45PM~
Thunder Island Brewing Co
601 NW Wa Na Pa St
Cascade Locks, OR 97014
6 per table max occupancy as of April 17th. Can be windy; Make sure to bring a jacket just in case.
Takes 60 minutes to get here from Wilshire Park
*WILL BE TAKING SR14 & CROSSING OVER BRIDGE OF THE GODS TO GET HERE, BRING CASH IF POSSIBLE*
After Lunch Photo Op:
Cascade Locks Marine Park
403–475 NW Portage Rd
Cascade Locks, OR 97014
Usually nice empty-ish parking lot against the water
Come on out, enjoy the cars, enjoy the company, please be respectful and wear your masks.
I understand if this comment get deleted due to unwanted sharing of info on this platform but figured I’d throw it out there that this is another drive a good amount of S2000 people plan to do as well.
