Default Need some goodies polished

Hey guys Just like the top says im getting in some parts for my S and I would like them polished.... Any shops or people that do good metal polishing? Its an intake manifold specifically

take a dremel to it and some polishing compound, buy tools not labor!

You think so??? I have a dremel and the compound but how long does it usually take lol.... I never really polished anything

you would have to sand down all of the casting marks. dremmels tend to take chunks off the aluminum

sand paper grit: 400, 600, 800, 1200. then use a polishing compound like black magic. aprox 15-20 times until it takes a mirror finish.

if you spend 3-4 hours a day, you should have a very nice piece in about 2-3 weeks.

an intake manifold is going to be a little harder because of all of the tight spots wich are harder to reach..

you can also skip all of the sanding if you take it to a powdercoat place, they can sand blast it to a smooth finish and you can do the polishing. then it would only take about a week.

i was able to polish my whole bike frame in probably roughly about 20hours? + a couple hours to drop the motor. its def not something you will want to do in one sitting but its quite rewarding once you have the end result.
