We actually tried for about a month to adopt. It was our first choice. But we couldn't find a dog that we felt could get along with Booker, and belief it or not the pickings was surprisingly slim. Between Amanda and I, we made multiple trips out there, and each time they only have a small handfull that was actually available to adopt.
