Alright ill check it out.. i should probably change the trans fluid too.. haven't done that yet. bought it with 61k, and i dunno when the last person changed it.. shouldn't be too hard right?

go to general interest then under the hood, there's DIY for changing trans. fluid and changing the clutch brake fluid don't rely on scissors jack and always use jackstands when going in under the car.

My 05 Tranny has a slight grind as well when the car is cold in the morning, and goes away fairly quickly. I've trained myself to double pump the clutch in the cold mornings before engaging 2nd, and 80% of the time it helps from causing a grind for me.

As for tranny fluid, I think both Marc and myself swears by Amsoil.

I love anything Amsoil. I just can easily get it here and shipping costs can be killer on oils if you order bunches.

The revised Honda MTF is really quite good too, so I stuck with that on my last change.

my tranny is notchy on cold mornings. It did used to grind second a LOT before I changed the fluid before HCII. I thought my clutch was dying but it solved the problem.

124k on stock clutch btw.

I am running Amsoil since doing the AP2 tranny swap so about 12k miles.
