Default New mod question

After years of driving on the stock 4.1's with the SC, I've finally decided to take the next step and start looking into the 4.44's (it seems to be the favorite choice for most SCer's).

So before I spend any kind of money, I would like to find out if anyone in town have done this swap. If so, which shop did you use, and how was the over all experience, price, wait, and result?

I'm planning on getting all the parts first instead of taking it to the shop and having them order the parts, so I don't have to deal with any unnecessary delays. But from all the reading I've done regarding this install, it doesn't seem like any mechanic shop could do it, it has to be someone that knows what they are doing. So do you guys know anyone in town that could do it? If not, I'll skip this mod all together.

Thanks!

Brian

Are you going to do the re-enforced diff too??

I know that the Honda Dealership in Lynnwood, WA (20 min North of Seattle) installed them for a guy but that'd kind of be a trek for you.

My suggestion is to buy them already installed in an entire diff from HTG. That's what I did for my gear set up and everything works great.

I think a 4.56 would be better for you even though I went with 4.77's

Thank you for the link. I guess I'm in the wrong ball park, I was hoping some where around $1500 for parts and labor (saw the 4.44 GB for $300ish shipped), but it seems to make sense to go with HTG, so I guess I will wait and save up.

Thanks guys!
