Open Track Day at PIR
Gentleman,
So how many of you would be interested in attending a track day at PIR with your S2000?
I'm trying to setup a track day that would include high performance street cars, sometime this year, most likely mid October.
It would include but not limited to
All Trac's, DSM's, WRX's, M3's, S2000's, MR2's, S4's, RX7/8's, Supra's, 350Z's, Boxers, 911's...etc.
Interested in seeing how your car would stack up?
We will be looking at 60 cars maximum, at $150 dollar per car.
First a few ground rules.
1. Minimum age 18
2. Previous drivers training course required Information about those can be found here http://www.cascadescc.com/racing_dt.cfm
3. Car must be in mechanically sound condition. Good engine, tires, seatbelts, battery secured, no cracks in windshield and BRAKES.
4. NO passing on the curves
5. Track Speed limit --- NONE
6. Obey all the rules of the track, safety/corner workers. They are there to keep you and ME safe.
7. Valid drivers license and insurance
8. A Snell 95+ approved helmut, if you do not have a helmut, CSCC can rent you one for $10 dollars.
9. Long sleeve cotton shirt with jeans or driving suit with leather shoes.
9. No horseplaying on or off the track.
We will hold four drivers training courses during the year, if you haven't taken one, here's your chance to get your training, and get familiar with the track.
1/4 mile racing last a whole 10-15 seconds. Try going WOT for 15 - 25 minutes.
So for less than the price of your average speeding ticket or getting your car dynoed, you can have the time of your life.
Again, remember I'll only have 60 spots available. And about a half dozen clubs already interested, so if you want in don't be shy.
The first two hours (six groups = 60 cars) we'll run with 10 cars on track for 15 minutes to get everyone warmed up and re-familiar with the track. If you've had less than two driving schools, before, we will provide you with a driving instructor. If your instructor and you feel compentant with your driving abilities, then the remaining sessions your can do on your own. The remaining 3 sessions (reduce the groups to 4 but increase the cars to 15) we will run with 15 cars on track for 25 minutes.
Also remember we need 5 minutes inbetween sessions. So the first session of six groups = 15 minutes track + 5 intermission= 20 minutes X 6 groups = 120 minutes (2 hours).
Remaining sessions 25 minutes track + 5 minutes intermission = 30 minutes X 4 groups = 120 minutes (2 hours). Of course everyone would get three of these 25 minute sessions. We'll run a total of eight hours + one hour lunch (8am to 5pm).
Be forewarned, once you've attended one of these track days, getting the stupid grin off your face is your problem.
Please let me know.
