Default planning to move to here from socal

Hi

i am planning to move to here from socal in about 2 weeks.
I wonder how's the police here?
any problem with exhaust, tint window??

I heard it's a lot of rain. are they heavy or just light rain?

welcome.

all those questions are location dependent. police can be 50/50 Dont drive like an idiot and you wont have any problems. I've had straight pipe for a year now and never had a problem with exhaust. As for tint. I have had 2 friends get popped for tint. but usually its not that big of a deal. My solution.......Top down The rain is usually just light. Unless you live on the coast and then it can be a hurricane. What part of oregon are you moving too? I assume Portland? Also it is possible to use the S as a daily. However you may want some decent all season tires. Portland can be a swimming pool on some of the interstates around portland

Welcome (eventually) to the area!

Where you move will be a major determining factor to all your questions.

I live in Bend on the eastern side of the state and I've never been given a second glance for my exhaust (HKS), been pulled over a couple times while running 25% tint (35% is legal limit) and never even been asked about it.

Doesnt rain much on my side of the mountains, but we have snow here.
I daily my S and several other people here do as well.

The S can be DD in Portland, the police within the city limits are usually fine. Most of the trouble is in the suburbs, Beaverton, Clackamas, Hillsboro etc. A few of us in these areas are pulled over for noise, window tint etc.

I think the tint depends on other factors - my Rogue has 24 on the front - closest match to the rear that was factory tint.

I think Ira's issue is the Bright blue car speeding around

as of the last couple weeks its really been the land of rain inch or better depending where you live around town. However this really is a nice area and we are close to the beach and mountains. When summer does come this dries out and the weather is nice.

If you just drive casual the cops tend to leave you alone

look forward to meeting you!
