Pre-buy Inspection in Grants Pass/Medford
Hello!
I am coming up to the area to check out an AP1 and wondering if anyone had recommendations on a shop in the Medford area to do a pre-buy inspection
Thanks in advance

Honda still knows these cars fairly well. I’d provide a service writer with a list of specific requests... no doubt there’s at least one guy who tech’d there that is an enthusiast!

Thanks guys.
I forgot to write that the person selling decided not to sell!!!
I am eyeing up another in Portland.
Seems to be a lot for sale up that way.

We don't really use salt here, so rust isn't much of a concern. The magnesium chloride spray ODOT uses has a corrosion inhibitor (they say). On the mountains they use basalt or cinder gravel too. So rock chips will be more apparent than rust.
In the 8 years I had my AP1 over in Bend and driving it year round including snow, I never experienced rust.

Only if the car spent part of its life in the Midwest before coming here!

When I first moved to Portland almost 20 years ago, I was amazed at some of the cars I saw parked on the street or still being driven around. All sorts of cars from the 50's/60's/70's that were still wearing their original paint, including a few models that I'd never seen before simply because they no longer existed in other places I'd lived. That's not to say that these cars were in showroom condition, not at all. I'm not talking about show cars, but just daily drivers that clearly aren't garage queens. The point is that the mild climate up here is very kind to cars. Some parts of the country have to deal with things like rust, while others deal with intensely faded paint and damaged interiors from the sun and prolonged intense heat. But not here in the Pacific Northwest. Good luck!
