Im gonna be getting new tires for my summer wheels soon. But i cant decide what set up i want. Im getting the star specs but cant decide between a 225/255 stagger or a 215/255 stagger. Anyone running the larger setup, how does it affect the handling?

 

I have 225/255 in the star specs. I was 215/255 on my goodyears, I know the star specs are a better tire but the car feels more planted to the road with the star specs. And it seems to handle much better. The 225' fill the wheel well up front better as well.

 

you should also consider the width of the wheel. the natural thing to do is believe that putting the biggest tire on a wheel will get your more traction, but you also want to consider how the side wall is going to respond cornering under load, too much/little is going to cause the tire to pinch/stretch etc.
