I just had the most excrutiating conversation at the gas station just now.
So gather around, children, and listen to my story. I give you a play-by-play from "The kid working the pump at the gas station" who had an Integra parked nearby. Nasty front and rear bumper, questionable paint job, etc. Trying to sound cool but strictly a "yo yo" type.
Comes walking up "Before I do anything, you need to show me the VTEC!"
I'm like..."What? I VTEC every time I leave here"
"No man, pop the hood and let me see the VTEC"
I immediately see that this conversation is getting ready to go downhill very quickly....
Then he asks "Is this the V6?"
"They dont make a V6 for the S2000"
"Ya man, This most recent model, comes with the K22A!"
"Uh no, The S was discontinued as of last year and it has ALWAYS been an I4"
"Seriously?"
"Yes, you're probably thinking about the one-off swap from the TL Type S"
"Oh ya, maybe it was a swap. So this thing is an H22?"
"No, F20C"
"Aahhh, F26C"
"No, F20C. Then 04+ went to the F22C"
*points over to his integra* "I want to put an H22 in that thing. I'll be spinning tires through 4th gear then!"
*Sabre gives no reply*
"I used to have a GS-R Type R engine in there that was turbo'd running 17PSI. It dyno'd at Woodburn at 467hp!"
"Oh......wow"
"Then I killed it racing an STi. I thought, I can smoke him, it's just an STI. We started to get on it and I realized he was full on Stage 3 and when he shifted to 2nd, he literally lit up all 4 tires and went sideways!"
*Sabre just stares in "amazement"*
"So I think, I'm gonna lose to this guy, so I just run it all the way up to 9000 and *bam* threw all 4 rods right through the block!!!"
"Wow, that sucks"
"Yeah man, it was a mess!"
*Sabre takes his receipt and slowly turns away and then leaves ASAP*
