Random Talk 2012
Just had a traumatic experience...
I was getting some audio work done to the S2 and im sitting there on my phone and I hear the classic lip/bumper crunch sound. You know that god awful sound when some tard pulls waaaaay to far forward into a parking space and the curb eats their bumper. Well, that was my car just a little bit ago
and I was not driving it...
I instantly looked up after hearing the noise and sure enough, there was my lip sitting on top of the parking curb all tore up. Instantly got pissed, went over to the car and did the "WTF" and showed him what he did. He said to me " oh I did that? I had the stereo up and didnt even hear it." I got a little testy but kept my cool, accidents happen and I know its just a lip but damn, pay attention.
The story ends good though. He took the lip off right there and is going to fix it for me and gave me a discount on my audio work. I think thats fair, you break it you buy it, but still, having my blood pressure up that high should be worth something lol.
Moral of the story, before someone drives your car, ask them if they know how to park it when they are done.
Just wanted to share. cheers!

I would have been pretty upset too, nice to hear they owned up to their mistake and are fixing it! Audio stuff? Gonna have to hear the system on the drive next month!
haha yeah they owned up.
Yeah got a new deck to replace that underpowered OEM poop and infinity door speakers and some tweets cut in. Deck is Bluetooth too, nice not having any cables, but it does have a USB port in the front to plug into to charge the phone.

Yesterday I saw a customer of my work by an awful S2000, I had to fight everything in me to not go out there and point out everything WRONG with the car and to tell them to stay away from it... Unfortunately, one of the managers told me to hush
^^^ Not a mechanic, but have you looked at your IACV? Or look for a vacuum leak however it pulses pretty quick for a vacuum leak that I have experience. I would start looking at those first. Does this only happen when the car is warm or cold or both? I notice that your CEL was on. Any reason for that to be on? Is it because you have a test pipe? Either way you might want to see if you have other CEL codes. Autozone or O'reilys can help you get the code read.
Let us know what you find out. Otherwise bring it in to TrackForged for them to evaluate.
Good luck

I had track forged look at it already, they said the CEL was from bad gas. It was a lot worse before, it reved up to 3 and then back over and over. I did clean the IACV and it took away the crazy idle and now I'm stick with that one.
Alright, this is how it goes now after another clean up of the IACV

Mine did this when I pulled my intake manifold off. I check everything was hooked up right and it still did it. But come to find out mine was caused from air bubbles in the cooling system. Blend it 3 times and it finally went away.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the AP1s ( maybe AP2s) have a learnable ecu. So I say drive it normaly and I'm sure it will eventually find its happy place.

That to me now looks like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Look at all your vacuum hose, see if something is not plugged in or if there's a hole or slit somewhere in the hose. There's quite a few of them. Did you have the CEL read or did you just reset it, because I don't see it now. Drive it around a little and or let run like that for a little bit and see if CEL comes up and then get it read.
