Went to check on the status of our latest engine build, coming along nicely. Goal is 25,000hp. Turbo charged with natural gas as fuel.

One of twelve engines we are installing at a new power plant in Port Westward, northern Oregon. It's unusual in that it's a natural gas reciprocating engine. The big curl at the end is the turbo!

It's mainly designed to fill in the gaps when wind generated power slows down but the load requirement is still present. May become more common as Boardman, our base load coal plant, is to be decommissioned in 2020.

Unfortunately it doesn't have VTEC, kind of cool though!
