I for one knows Matt really well. those that knows me and been around me knows or heard about these kinds of things.. Matt's is a really good guy who made his share of mistake but learn and grow from it..

Like Ira said!! If you all wanna know just ask? Most of u guys knows me or I worked on ur car and I too did work on Matt's GPW CR... Asking question is ok! But making false statements is wrong if u don't know the facts...

The only thing Matt stole with his CR is the damn show. That car is squeaky clean. He messed up a few years back and has thus since changed his ways. Been dealing with him on a personal level for a few years now and he's a great guy. Anyway Arsenal what shady items were you referring to? Saw the parts car that came in from auction. Hard to steal a car you paid for? Again apparently I need to put my great name up and say I can vouch for Matt. If anyone wants to hear that for themselves PM me and you can have my phone number.

Hate to sound like a broken record here, but I agree, Matt's a good guy and after talking to him in person you'd know pretty much instantly he's got a good head on his shoulders.

Saw the CR in its infancy and I'm the one that bought the yellow parts car for him

I too can vouch for Matt and his unicorn. I've seen, been in, and witnessed this CR, and believe me, no expense was spared. I couldn't speak high enough about Matt and his character. He has helped me numberous times, without expectations of self gain. My car could very well be sitting in parts still if it weren't for him. I've also done quite a few deals with this gentleman, resulting in him holding thousands $$$ of my money, never once has he been "fishy". Well.... aside from his smell .

Hello to John, and Ira as well. It was nice to meet you gentlemen. Hopefully another meet soon, it was a pleasure to be around such clean cars! Hope all is well guys!

You can't get away with mis-representing a car of which handful were ever made, purchased only by those rare automotive enthusiasts with the love and the means. Especially not when the community has members which are fairly engaged via meets, drives, and general sharing of experiences whether good or bad.

I have seen the car, when it was ordinary looking and recently driven it when everything was in place to create the pure white masterpiece that it is today.

Was an FYI
Can you say a personal vendetta?

This was in no way meant to be an FYI, it was a attack on a person's character and most importantly attacking their work.

was mis-representing it
couldn't provide info for various parts on the car.
How do you mis-represent anything on this car. He is extremely candid with his life with me and others. He's always willing to help others (mechanical work), even those without S2k's, and is one of the most trustworthy people you can meet. One thing you will find extremely annoying about this guy is his unwillingness to f@#king cut corners. This guy cut out a huge chunk of his day to get my car running again after a fried clutch, he didn't let up until everything was OEM Spec, down to every single wire not being out of place. There was not a single scratch on the car, and even cleaned out shit that I would have left behind. He had more to gain by cutting corners and letting me sort the rest out.

As for his car, there is nothing shady. This car is a rarity, and most of us check up on the work from time to time, simply to see the beauty running. A guy who had something to hide, would never let anyone in his "shady" work, for they dont want unnecesary attention. A guy who mis-represented anything and was lying would not have his story straight and in a small community such as this, it would come out in no time at all.

The list of faults and just general shady items was quite extensive.
The S is a small car, with very few parts. He even has the manuals and other paperwork which most people wouldn't ask for during a sale. Everything on this car is top notch and accounted for.

Apparently the person selling it,
This guy has the know-how gained through mistakes. Mistakes that are important for one to be successful at anything. Some guys sacrifice time, some sacrifice money, and some both to get to this point. Me and countless others here are glad to have a bro such as him in our life. For some of us, we rely on his know-how to fix anything out of place on our cars and count on him being candid to give us the true picture.

He is owed many favors by me and others in this community who count on him to fix their shit when it breaks down. Shady people don't bring attention to themselves, and their work, and certainly dont engage in thing where people with the means can come after them (especially not on a forum). It's far better to rip off kids with honda civic's and integras and their parts. S2000 CR's only register on people's radar who have the cash, and have connections.

There are people here who have CR's and they would be all over anything that would affect their exclusivity, and hence ownership experience. This doubly applies to those who have a obligation to sort out shady people from affecting others. Including those that are moderators.

Karma is a bitch, and I hope this guy apologizes to Matt, because if not it won't be long because karma bites him in the ass. Again.

Whoa, had no idea of the history etc. I just simply saw the post and thought it would be a good thing to bring up. Coming from the ITR community, whenever someone suspects stolen goods etc. every one is notified. In this case, I had no idea of the past, or of Matt, all I saw was an add which seemed legitimate so thought the S2K community should know.

I have no idea...I've been in Portland for 5 years, 6 months of which has been in a Honda. I was referring to Tampa, FL which is notorious for auto crime, as well as ITR forums.

The only ITR I know of is a multi-colored one that parks in the Pearl some times by my house.

I wasn't trying to start something, think of it from my perspective...

Agreed no harm here. James simply came across a post that looked legitimate. Those kind of observations are exactly why our group is so close knit and on top of these things.
