So Evan,
Do you have a link some where that discuss the reasoning behind none stagger setup?
I've always thought people fix the over-steer issues with the AP1 with bigger front sway and wider rear tires. So by going with same width tires front and rear, wouldn't that nullify the work your cusco front is doing?

Brian!!
I will see if I can find a specific thread...
For the moment I will say: Ive read many opinions in the R&C forums where people run a bigger FSB and enjoy having a nonstaggered wheel/tire setup.
I tried it out myself last night to only be dissapointed
(in fairness to the setup, I had different brand tires front and back and the fronts were super bald Zrated tires and the rears werent
) I felt like it made the car feel kinda bouncy
I guess and the steering felt really sensitive compared to what I was used to
yes your correct in your thinking %100 I just thought since so many seem to like the setup I thought it sounded cool and I would give it a try
I wanted to try it on some cheap OEM wheels before I spent big $ on an aftermarket set so this is all in purpose to be sure wether I like staggered or nonstaggered setup before I go aftermarket
*edit*
below are quotes from *Going to Non-Staggered wheel setup (a very similar situation

I'm a little confused. You've altered the car to bring it more towards understeer... now you're going to change your front tires to bring it back towards oversteer.
So your net gain is.... nothing?

No, the net gain is more ultimate grip.
hmmm..
I could see that logic about getting more grip.. But at the same time, I think at least for myself, I won't be able to push my car to the limits they are talking about in a long long time. I will just stick to my current plan of reducing over-steer
I drifted on accident on the last Astoria drive.. I didn't end up spinning out, but it was enough to scare my wife, so I got immediate approval on getting new tires.
I ordered some new tires this week, and I'll be going with wider rear tires, as well as getting my whiteline's in hopefully before "THE MOTHER OF ALL DRIVES".
