Snow/winter driving
I never driven my S in the snow but do have experience with Blizzaks they great tires and did really well in the snow. Aaron has already proven that the Toyos work with the S, so that's a safe bet. Another good snow tire I hear about are the Nokian Hakkapeliitta. I would think any of these three are good tires. Another thing to think of is how much snow days does Portland really have? Only a few days. Although they did forecast for a really cold and wet winter this year.
you'd be fine. You'd even be fine on the 195s.
I just think by changing the tires too much, you are compromising the "feel" you are already familiar with.
I think 205 all around would be just as undramatic as the stock stagger (provided you keep your foot light).
