Spring Detail & Dent Removal Day
#22
Looks like missus is going on a hike with a friend so I am free as of 8:30 am. Do you know what time the PDR person will be arriving? Cash only or will he have a card swipe thingy?

I will find out. Since there is some timing confusion, he should be there at 9:45-10am which is why the start time is listed as such. Mike, myself and anyone else that would like to go should be there close to 8am

And Commence photos!
Great turnout, great weather, great cars, great friends! Couldn't have asked for a better day. Big thanks to everyone that came out, always fun seeing familiar faces and meeting some new ones for the first time! Hopefully everyone enjoyed the day
Also thank you to Kevin from www.FIXYOURDENTS.COM I had a nasty crease that has been with my car for years on the quarter panel. Most said it would stay there for years too considering the condition of it, but he was able to completely remove the crease. My car looks new again and I couldn't be happier.
-----> If you had Kevin remove some of your dents please post a positive review here. https://plus.google.com/115365215518...28/about?hl=en He traveled all the way from La Center to help us all out and did a great job!
Don and Marc getting some CR seat time!
Kevin fixing some of Tony's dings!
The detail machine! John polished his rio into oblivion today. Car looks absolutely amazing
Dean's new AP2 lip and a hint of some...Carbon Fiber
Something I focused on was all the yellow stitching, which over time definitely dulls down. Great advice from Matt (NAs2kCR) with how to clean it. I'm happy with the results

It was really good to see everyone again. And $50 to make those two annoying dents absolutely disappear was absolutely the best money I've spent recently! Thank you!...
In answer to two questions I couldn't remember the answers to: My chin protector/splitter is from Downforce. See it at http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...oducts_id=1277, and my new Dunlop Direzza ZIIs cost me $694.74, delivered to my front door.
Next time you see me I'll be riding an inch lower on my new Ohlins coilovers. I've decided to install them as Ohlins suggests, but we'll see about the one inch drop. I'm about half expecting that I'll want to raise the ride height back to stock. It'll be easy enough to do, but I also trust in Ohlins engineering, so I'll start out at their specs and give it the old college try. Stay tuned.
See ya on a good road soon!...

Thanks for the cameraderi and education today, folks. I learned a lot, even about my own S2K which I've had for only 6 weeks, and found a community of friendly, intelligent enthusiasts.
Here's hoping we can maintain the relationship and help each other enjoy these incredible cars to the utmost.

Today was a beautiful day to take time and wash/detail s2000s. This was my first time attending s2ki event, and I much appreciated everyone willing to help out and being nice to a first-comer. Unfortunately I could only stay for an hour or so, but I promise I will stick around longer next time. AND take better pictures... I promise!
