The more kids who move from civics to s2000's as they get cheaper the more this is happening.every time I see an ap1 with ap2 conversion It makes me wonder. I hope the insurance sees all the work you have done and hooks you up. If you do get it back the powder came in for your tow hook. Keep us updated!

Just a thought here....

As an organized local group we do have some power. We know that it is virtually impossible to catch a thieve in the act, that's a dream for some of us. What is possible is to find out who has been caught, and future trials or hearings. If we were to show up as group at some of these it might get the message out to the elected judges, that car owners demand tougher punishment for car thieves. Maybe down the line Portland would be know as though on car thieves, possibly deterring some future thefts.

Not sure where to look for this information, but I would be willing to go to a thieves hearing to beg for the maximum incarceration.

Tony: gotta post that sad pic of what the police found. Motivation for us all to protect what we have and a reminder to be on the lookout for stolen parts - and not buy them if we think they come from a source like that. Remember: cars are stolen from our own kind so they can be stripped and the parts resold to us!

Yeah it's sad to see that lack of effort that goes into investigating these types of crimes and even when they are caught the punishment doesn't seem to be harsh enough. Yeah most people can go and get the car replaced but who will replace the time spent working on it or the time spent shared with others you love. Be nice to look more into this....

He would need cash to buy that car, 95% of banks will not loan on salvage titles. Also that car was in a front end collision and I would avoid it.
