Default TCT help

So, I was wondering if anyone here have time to help me get the tct fix... I don't want to pay that much for a tct that might go bad again in 20k miles.

The noise is so bad........


so if anyone have access to a sandblast will you lend me or sand blast the tct for me please?

knock on the wood, bro. my car's time chain tensioner is still quiet with 125000+ miles in it....must be the Amsoil motor oil. . love to help out but dont have access to a sandblaster.

yeah :[

heard its super common on ap1, so much problem on ap1, so sad. i only use mobil 1 and i heard it suppose to help with that.


sigh, i wish honda would fix this for free as they know it is a known problem...people get it as early as 20,000 miles....

As I mentioned before, I'd just try to get a ride to a powdercoating shop and see if they'd do it for you. They may do it for free like the one did for me. Putting it back together is pretty easy, just a little frustrating because of the spring tension. If you need any tips, I'm only a phonecall away.

just buy billmans, its a good deal with the exchange. been running one for 5k + miles and no rattle so far.

Also, there seems to be a pretty common move away from Mobile 1 on this site, I have switched to Castrol Edge with Titanium and I am burning a lot less between changes. I did a track day on it with 4 20 minute sessions of hard running and I didn't use any oil.
