Default What is wrong with people

I just have to vent and get this off my chest, but I am amazed at people's inability to SEE lately.

Before I got t-boned a few months ago, I had an occasional occurance where people werent paying attention and nearly hit me. Ever since the accident though, it seems like I have at least one a day where people dont pay attention and pull through stop signs and almost hit me.

I had two incidents tonight, one at the exact same intersection, with another woman, in another SUV! Just watching left, not seeing me coming from the right and decides to pull out as I'm turning in front of her. The part that bothers me most is that I was looking right at her as she started coming forward and she was looking right at me! But she didnt stop, she kept rolling out slowly until I was almost through my swerve to avoid her, then she slams her brakes and sits in the middle of the road.

PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE!

That is all.

I don't know about Bend but down here in Redmond you always make sure that if you are the first person in line at a red light you better wait about 10 seconds before going when it turns green.

It is almost funny how many people not only run yellow lights here but reds as well. After a light turns red at least two cars will run through th intersection

Careful out there guys

Another place to watch out for is the North Wilsonville exit off I-5. A ten second wait is also necessary at that light as well.

On a somewhat related note, be careful out there on the roads today guys. There is a major police operation underway today to curb speeding and aggressive driving. The focus is on the parkway but they're busting people all over town. Not sure if they're doing this in Redmond as well, I'm guessing they are as from what I hear the sheriff's office is heading it up. Got a heads-up on it this morning from a guy at work here who's father is a sheriff.

I thought something wierd was going on. When I went to lunch today their were 9 cops having lunch together at Abby's. Now this is Redmond and I think that we only have 9 cops on the force

When I pulled up in the parking lot they were just walking up to the restaurant. They all looked at me (I was in the S) and when I left two of them were waiting in the parking lot with the engines running. Normally this would not concern me but when I pulled out onto 97 they both followed me the whole way back to my office

As long as they nail some of the people who blatently run red lights and scare some responsibility to others that do (one of my biggest pet peeves) then enforce away.

I remember once I was working swing shift at my previous job and left there at 1am. Started driving home and ended up having a cop follow me from Spage Age just north of Target all the way to the intersection of Reed Mkt Road and 27th...many miles!

Yea I see a big accident about once a month in front of my work place. Speaking of cops has anyone seen the new cop cars? They're regular looking SUV's with no stickers or no lights. You can't tell it's a cop car. Their lights are built into the stock ballest I believe. You can only tell it's a cop cause they wear a grey vest and a blk shirt that says police on the side. So be careful for those ones.

Yeah, I've seen those and they even have regular license plates. Here in Sherwood they have an unmarked Ford Expedition patrol 99W.

There's a bunch of unmarkeds around here, they're part of the ADEP (aggressive driving enforcement program). Unfortunately for them, even though they're unmarked, you can still see them coming from a mile away. They're like the standard nondescript domestic sedans that pretty much every police force uses for that type of thing. Makes me laugh to think that they believe people won't notice they're cops, but I guess the main thing is they're trying at least.
