My point was that by making a big deal about you not making a commission wasn't really appropriate. You set the price.... You probably could have gotten more for it considering the market, but that's not Dave's fault. So bringing that up is sort of irrelevant.
im not trying to be an ass but please quote where i made a big deal about how much money i made on that top. nothing ive said about how much money we made on it (i count two instances), IMO, qualifies as a big deal. maybe you misinterpreted how i was saying it (it is the internet after-all, you cant hear vocal tones from reading words on the computer screen)

id actually like to clarify wherever it is that sounds like a big deal so others dont get confused.

I probably read it wrong...

That's good that you guys are going to deliver it to him on your truck, though.

AIRING OF MORE DIRTY LAUNDRY:::

On April 14th, I paid Holler Classic Honda on West Colonial Dr. in Orlando $2708.94 for a RED hardtop that was to be delivered in 2, maybe 3 weeks tops. I could have paid hardtopguy.com $200 more and have it to my door in 5 business days. I was trying to save a buck and give the business to my local Honda dealer that I purchased my wife's 2005 Honda Accord EX-L from, 60,000 miles ago. The dealer that I use to service my wife's veehicle. The dealer that my 2005 S2000 gets serviced at. When my S2000 reached 15,000 miles, I had Classic Honda change my oil to synthetic Mobil 1. At 19,000 miles I decided to change it myself. I went to Classic to buy my filters. During my oil change, I realized that when Classic changed my oil, they used the generic Civic-Accord filter for my S2000. So, I drove 4,000 miles with the wrong filter. Did I complain? NO. I didn't even mention it because I then realized that I was just happy that I didn't go back to them for service and have them make another mistake like putting in regular oil. Meanwhile, I have a Laguna Blue Hardtop taking up half of my garage.

SO TODAY,
I did not receive a reply to the email that I had sent to the General Manager last night. (A copy of this is posted above with all of the asterisks instead of personal names). I did however, receive a call from the Parts Manager at noon. He told me that the factory in California, had shipped my hardtop to the Honda warehouse, also in California, on the 28th of April. He said that it has not been shipped out of the Chino, California warehouse, but they must have received it. He said that they have someone walking the warehouse at the minute "looking" for it. He told me that he would get back to me when they find it. By 4:30 p.m. I did not recieive a call. I called the Parts Manager to find out what had happened. He told me that he hasn't heard anything yet. I asked him for the name of his District Manager. He told me that it was Dave Pfluke in California. I asked him for his number. He would not give me it. So, if anyone has an e-mail or contact number for Mr. Pfluke in California, I will keep your identity anonymous.

WHAT THE PFLUKE WOULD YOU DO????!!!!!!!!!!

who's to say that California wouldn't have screwed up the order if you had placed it with HTG?

based on everything i read, the dealership is in the clear. it's california's fault.

shit happens and it sounds as if the dealership is trying to help. remember your dealing with a huge distribution facility in California and your order isn't their top priority. the dealership can only push so hard.

Must give credit where credit is due.

The Parts Manager called me at noon today. He said that they found it in California last night and had it overnight delivered. It arrived in Orlando this morning. They arranged to drop it off at my door at 4:30, per my request. They picked up the Laguna Blue to send back.

Yes, I agree, the same problem could have happened if I placed it through HTG. I always said that the problem originated in California. It was the lack of communication that had me upset.

Thraak now!
